Spring Volunteer Clean-up

Activities & tasks will include:

1) Picking up litter and trash to keep it out of Asylum Lake, with a focus on Drake Rd corridor

2) Adjusting & re-affixing protective wire-wrappings on oak trees along the lake's nearshore

3) Kicking off a tree & plant inventory project, for which we'll need volunteer stewards to focus on this longer-term project throughout the year

We thankfully have a lot of community interest in this event, so RSVP's are appreciated. Choose this event and scroll to bottom or click HERE to help us with planning our resources. Tools, bags, gloves, etc. will be provided as needed for each task, as well as water and light refreshments.

Speakers will give brief presentations and opportuntiy for feedback, and opportunities to help with ALPA’s work and commitment to the Preserve. A Special Coummunity Gathering

ALPA is honored to be hostng a Community Gathering at Asylum Lake Preserve from 12:00 noon to 4 pm at the Drake Road Entrance

Join us for some music, light refreshments,  displays and conversations with local environmental and nature groups, and an assortment of  tours of the Preserve with our local experts. We look forward to you helping us celebrate Asylum Lake Preserve, increasing community awareness and providing support for this Community Treasure.
